Facilities Executive

EY Sri Lanka is looking for an experienced Facilities Executive to supervise and help with the daily Facilities & maintenance functions of the Firm.

About this position
The Facilities Executive is responsible for overseeing and managing all facilities and maintenance activities within the Firm including soft services.
This includes developing and implementing Facilities & property strategies, coordinating repairs and inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
The Facilities Executive reports directly to the Facilities Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement facilities & building procedures and protocols to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Oversee the support team and provide guidance and support to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Conduct regular PPM- inspections of equipment, machinery, and facilities to identify and address any maintenance needs or issues.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for repairs, maintenance, and equipment servicing.
  • Manage the maintenance budget and ensure cost-effective utilization of resources.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and equipment history.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize equipment lifespan.
  • Good understanding of the technical features of plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.
  • Minimizing downtime and disruption to business operations
  • Train and mentor maintenance staff on proper maintenance techniques and safety procedures.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in maintenance technology to recommend and implement improvements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and address any maintenance-related concerns or emergencies.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Facilities Management or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Facilities & property management
  • Strong knowledge of FM & maintenance best practices and industry standards
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
