About The Role
Uber Sri Lanka is looking for a highly analytical and motivated individual to join our Mobility operations teams. As an Operations Manager, you will have an immediate impact on the ground. You will work closely with the Global & Regional Ops Teams to shape strategy, take direct responsibility for critical initiatives, and help us develop and deploy innovative solutions to strengthen our business. You will need a strategic mind with strong business acumen, exceptional analytical skills and strong stakeholder management skills to influence and coordinate across a variety of teams.

What You Will Do
  • Own the driver supply in the region by developing and implementing strategies focusing on the Acquisition, Retention, and Resurrection of driver partners. Understand how each channel contributes to the overall supply and further strengthen the channel to ensure sustainable deliveries of high-quality supply at an optimized cost. 
  • Deliver category-level growth by efficient marketplace management: You will work closely with the regional marketplace team, to optimize demand & supply to promote growth. As part of these responsibilities, you will collaborate on product pricing, investment allocation, driver & rider user experience enhancement, etc. 
  • Monitor market trends and macroeconomic factors to stay ahead of industry changes. Recommend and implement strategies to maintain the competitive edge. 
  • Live and breathe rider growth! Plan and execute rider growth initiatives focusing on improving the active rider base in SL and increasing the frequency of usage. With a dedicated focus on optimizing rider life-cycle and user experience. 
  • You will also lead the 'Uber One' membership program for Mobility in Sri Lanka to acquire new members and implement engagement & retention strategies. You will work closely with the local Uber Eats team to drive holistic growth to the Uber One program 
  • Product launches: Work closely with the cross-functional teams to roll out new products in the region based on business and customer needs. 

What You Will Need 
  • 4+ years of experience in solving complex analytical problems; experience in the e-commerce industry, business consulting, operations, strategy, or tech start-ups, 
  • University degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Economics, Statistics, Finance, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience 
  • Analytical skills: Ability to develop actionable insights from complex data. Experience with data analysis, data manipulation, and data visualization. You are proficient in Excel/Sheets 
  • Solution-oriented mindset: Naturally curious and motivated to solve problems, however complicated or ambiguous they may be. Ability to understand root cause elements, break down complexities, and create a structured approach and design workstreams to achieve the objective. 
  • Attention to detail and multitasking: Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel without compromising the quality of deliverables. You are constantly looking for ways to tweak and optimize for better results 
  • Collaboration & leadership: Great team lead and team player with strong, demonstrated leadership capabilities. Ability to manage a diverse team locally and engage with multiple regional stakeholders to drive business growth and profitability. 

Preferred Qualifications 
  • Experience with SQL, Google Data Studio is a plus. 
  • Masters Degree 
  • Experience building high-impact communication materials. 
  • Proficiency in additional languages a plus (Sinhalese & Tamil)
