Associate Manager - Actuarial

JOB FUNCTIONS
- Playing a senior role, performing actuarial functions inclusive of statutory valuations, regulatory compliance & reporting, experience analysis, pricing management & value reporting.
- Support continuous improvement of actuarial systems, for accurate and timely statutory valuations, financial projections and business planning.
- Support and develop new initiatives on product development, data analysis, management information, coordinating with other core functions of the organization.
- Support the formulation of business plans for the company in line with the strategic direction of the company.
- Support the IFRS 17 project for smooth implementation while working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- A degree in Mathematics/statistics, Finance, Accounting, Investment, Risk Management or Business Management from a recognized university or an equivalent professional qualification from recognized institute.
- Membership from a recognized actuarial institute. Two or more exam passes will be an advantage.
- 3+ years of experience in the field of actuarial (preferably in life insurance).
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Prioritize work to meet deliverables under challenging and dynamic market conditions.
- Knowledge on RAFM will be considered an advantage.
- Knowledge of spreadsheet based cashflow modelling.
- Knowledge of MS Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook is essential.
- Knowledge of automation tools such as Excel VBA, R or Python would be an advantage.
- Strong understanding of Life insurance financial dynamics would be an added advantage.
