Internal Auditor (IT Specialist)
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology.
- 4 + years of IT audit experience
- Relevant professional qualifications such as CISA, CISM, CA, CPA CIA, etc. or desire to undertake such qualifications
- Experience in auditing IT controls consistent with ISO 27001
- Ability to use data analytics or work with large sets of data from various data sources, conducting deep dives to identify trends
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Review internal IT controls, evaluate the design and operational effectiveness, determine risk exposure, and develop remediation strategies.
- Support the team on the delivery of multiple client engagements.
- Contribute to the development of audit plans, controls testing fieldwork, and draft reports.
- Assess the current state of client Information System controls, identify Technology and Security risks, and develop remediation recommendations.
- Analyse, evaluate, and enhance information security controls, and perform information security audits.
- Be involved in other technology risk projects.

- Able to work effectively with other members of the team on planning and developing work program timelines, risk assessments, and other documents/templates.
- A proactive approach to learning and working with other team members within stipulated timelines along with understanding the work quality expectations.
- An understanding of Information Systems Auditing standards and methodology.
- Good project management and organizational skills.
- Have good communication skills, inspiring teamwork, and responsibility with other team members.
- An understanding of common frameworks and standards, and how they could be applied based on the client’s risk environment.
