As a Trainee Commercial Officer, you will be responsible for learning and assisting in various aspects of the commercial operations within a company. This role is designed to provide hands-on training and development in commercial activities, including procurement, logistics, and compliance. You will work closely with experienced commercial officers and gain valuable experience in the field.
Job Profile
- Assist in sourcing and procuring goods and services required for the company's operations.
- Learn to negotiate with suppliers, review purchase orders, and ensure timely delivery.
- Learn about import/export regulations and ensure all documentation is accurate and complete.
- Support compliance with trade laws and company policies.
- Assist in managing stock levels, tracking inventory, and ensuring stock accuracy.
- Gain knowledge of the transportation and distribution process.
- Assist in the tracking of financial transactions related to commercial activities.
- Prepare reports and data analysis on commercial activities.
Personal Profile
- A bachelor's degree or Diploma in business, commerce, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Basic knowledge of commercial and business processes.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to various tasks.
- Familiarity with office software such as Microsoft Office, including MS Word/Excel/ PowerPoint.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and take direction from superiors.
