Job Description
  • Develop and implement production plans to meet customer orders and inventory targets while optimizing resource utilization.
  • Create and manage production schedules, coordinating with production teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Oversee inventory levels and monitor stock levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. Implement strategies to minimize excess inventory and carrying costs.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop accurate demand forecasts. Adjust production plans accordingly to meet changing market demands.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in production planning and scheduling. Implement changes to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, and logistics, to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Utilize data analytics to monitor key performance indicators, analyze trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve planning processes.
  • Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in planning processes, incorporating industry best practices and emerging technologies.

Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field. Advanced degree or certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience in production planning, scheduling, and inventory management, with at least 3 to 4 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve production goals. 
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage competing priorities. 
  • Experience with ERP systems and advanced planning tools is highly desirable.
