Uber Rides - Operations Specialist

What You’ll Do:
- This role primarily focuses on planning and developing operational plans for new city launches in Sri Lanka.
- Looking after the allocated location and ensuring that the necessary standards are maintained as per the SOP provided
- Taking all measures to ensure high driver partner favorability towards Uber.
- Solving driver partner issues and providing training and establishing a connect between our consumers
- Ensuring smooth on-ground operations for rider and driver flow
- Solving rider queries and creating rider delight
- Understanding competition moves and ensuring Uber is able to respond to market moves with agility and effectiveness
- Liaising with necessary authorities to solve any issues and ensuring that Uber’s best interests are taken care of
What You’ll Need:
- Be a passionate advocate for riders and drivers while answering any questions that come your way.
- Build loyalty among new users and get our early adopters to fall in love with Uber all over again.
- Show empathy to frustrated riders and drivers while solving problems and addressing unsatisfactory experiences.
- Understand issues and escalate them when necessary
- Have full control of the operational KPIs and meet targets on a month-on-month basis
This is a team management and an operational role and hence will
- A diploma or bachelors degree
- Minimum 2 year working experience
- Require weekend work and/or night shifts
- Solid communication skills (English/Sinhala)
- Stakeholder management
This role will be on a contract basis; however, extensions are provided based on performance. There will be ample opportunity to interact with other teams and grow and learn in this role.
