Senior Lead Data Engineer (Data Visualization)
Description
- Responsible for leading the development and execution of data visualization strategies that effectively communicate complex data insights to various stakeholders within an organization
- Responsible to build technology roadmap for the Data visualization within organization.
- Involves overseeing the creation of visually compelling and insightful reports, dashboards, and other data visualization tools, as well as managing a team of visualization specialists.
- Require to take leadership and initiative in carrying out R&D into new technologies and institutionalize a R&D mind set within team with industry trends and best practices in data visualization, and identify opportunities for improvement in existing processes and tools.
- Need to develop selection criteria for most appropriate technologies and build technology/business cases
- Quality Assurance for Visual Optimization, reproducibility and auditability Visualizations (Dashboards and Data Sources)
- As the owner of the Tableau Analytics Platform, ensure the quality and availability of dashboards including major solutions as well as continuous maintenance and monitoring.
- Create and standardize templates and processes for specifications, functional requirements, use case validations, training, and user adoption
- Establish and oversee use of a standard set of templates for project and product documentation
- Design and implement a single system to monitor and manage alerts for all organizational visualizations
- Managing Users Access to the Platform via ITSR Process
- New Data source and API third-party products integration to core Platform with Security Governance, Cloud Ops, and IT Infra Teams
- Need to establish quality initiates within the practice and setup internal KPIs and SLAs to drive efficiencies.
- Ensure compliance statutory requirements. (e.g.: license compliance)
- Drive end-user interaction to enhance usage. Help end users to create reports and carry out analysis independently. Allies with Data Engineering and BU teams to identification and creation according to the Optimum and align with Best Practices
- Need to monitor consistency and accuracy of integrated data and maintain data purging policy
- Integrate new Data sources and Data Marts in the main Data Visualization framework.
- Empower the end users with analytical DataMart/Data Cubes for easy self-analytics
- Consult on Develop dashboards and Insights with Respective New/Existing Data Source to provide better visibility to top management and end users
- Continuous integration to serving infrastructures with Server (Cloud/On-Premises), Application and Connectivity and maintain the quality of segments in integrations
- Maintain the compatibility with different serving infrastructures (Version Upgrades and Critical Patch Installation)
- Platform Backup, Disaster Recovery (DR) and High-Availability (HA)
Entry Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, IT or relevant major with good programming and technical skills.
- Experience using Visualization tools such as Tableau, Quicksight and developing complex Dashboards through data visualization tools.
- Working knowledge in maintaining Data Visualization platform, large data-dashboards and OLAP data modelling skills
- Knowledge on Data lineage, Data Catalog, Master data management, Metadata management, Data Quality concepts, Data cleansing, Data Mapping, Data Management tools and applicable regulations/compliances
- Minimum 08 – 10 years of working experiences in the relevant field
