Accountant

Responsibilities:
- Manage cash operations, including current accounts and bank relations, to support daily cash administration.
- Reconcile cash applications and disbursements promptly and accurately.
- Ensure accuracy of finance charges, interest charges, and penalties.
- Monitor cash transactions to maintain accurate bank account balances.
- Prepare, monitor, and track cash flow on a regular basis.
- Coordinate with local payment and procurement teams for funding arrangements.
- Analyze bank facility utilization and initiate fund transfer arrangements.
- Prepare month-end loan, investment, and transfer schedules.
- Provide general administrative support, such as scheduling meetings and maintaining files.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accountancy/Finance or part qualification in ICASL/ACCA/CIMA, or full qualification in AAT, or full or part qualification in DABF/CBF in banking.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English & Sinhala, with proficiency in MS Office and emails.
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in treasury or similar capacity is an added advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
- Sound knowledge in Financial Accounting and analytics.
