Assistant Manager Finance
Job Summary:
Responsible for managing the finance operation of the company including budgeting, financing, forecasting, financial reporting and cost management whilst in compliance to the regulatory and procedural guidelines.
The main job functions of this position will include,
- Complete monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reports within the set deadline.
- Ensure timely compilation of information required for the Segment's MIS reports.
- Ensure compliance with latest accounting standards (IFRS), Group Finance Policy and Procedure Manual.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the business, financial metrics, such as free cash flow, working capital, net debt, leverage and turnover metrics, ratios, analyze asset utilization and key costs drivers impacting the EBITDA and Net Profit.
- Work with the business head to prepare annual budget and forecast projections for the segment.
- Ensure that all payments are prepared after checking the authenticity and adequacy of supporting documents and approvals.
- Ensure adherence to DOA, financial limits as per company policy.
- Monitor the Accounts Receivables and overall cash flow in co-ordination with Group Treasury for better fund utilization and working capital management.
- Liaise with the Commercial teams to prepare costings and feasibility models to analyze business opportunities. Ensure that documentation and files necessary for external and internal audits are maintained in a proper manner and provide necessary information for the timely completion of audits.
- Where applicable, review the data submitted in compiling tax reports, finalize the returns, in consultation with Company's Tax Auditors and company's corporate tax department, handle payment, reporting and/or other tax requirements.
- We seek a dedicated, result oriented young individual with the highest level of leadership, commitment, communication skills and sound personal attributes for the aforementioned position.
Candidate should possess:
- B Sc. Degree in Accounting or Financial Management or related field from recognized institute.
- Professional qualification in full from CA Sri Lanka or CIMA(UK).
- 3-5 Years' experience in similar capacity or post qualifying experience in the relevant field including experience in a manufacturing organization or lead auditor in a reputed Audit Firm
- Exposure to computerized accounting application packages and ERP systems
- Experience in system audits including IT systems / ERP systems
- Team player with analytical mindset and excellent analytical skills.
- Have good verbal and written Sinhala & English language proficiency with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels within the Company.
