We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Planning Executive to join our team at Embilipitiya Paper Mills (Pvt) Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing production schedules, ensuring the efficient utilization of resources, and facilitating the smooth execution of manufacturing processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the operational excellence of our company and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the production function.

Job Profile:
  • Develop and maintain production schedules in alignment with customer demand, inventory levels, and production capacity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, procurement, and logistics to forecast production requirements and prioritize production activities accordingly.
  • Monitor production progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to ensure on-time delivery of quality products.
  • Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvements.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and quality assurance teams to schedule equipment maintenance, calibration, and quality checks to minimize downtime and ensure product quality.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices to streamline production workflows and reduce waste.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate production status, key performance indicators, and improvement initiatives to management and stakeholders.

Person Profile:
  • Bachelor's degree in Process & Chemical / Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 - 4 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations. 
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Knowledge of production planning software and ERP systems is desirable.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on problem-solving and driving results.
