Chef de Cuisine Indian

We have an exciting opportunity for a Chef de Cuisine - Indian to join Cinnamon Life Integrated Resort, the much anticipated 1 billion USD project, opening in late 2024. Cinnamon Life Integrated Resort is a part of Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts, Sri Lanka's largest Hotel owner with a portfolio of 15 Hotels and Resorts in Sri Lanka and the Maldives. It is a member of John Keells Holdings PLC, one of the largest listed conglomerates in Sri Lanka.

In your role, reporting to the Executive Sous Chef, you will contribute to reshaping the culinary experience at our esteemed hotel. Your passion for authentic and memorable Indian dining experiences will be the driving force at the intersection of tradition and innovation. Your expertise will be applied to a diverse range of Indian spices, showcasing a mastery of techniques that elevate the dining experience. Your aim is to establish new culinary standards, ensuring each dish is a harmonious blend of flavours and every meal becomes a tribute to the rich tapestry of Indian culinary heritage.

Specializing in Indian cuisine, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the gastronomic experience at our esteemed hotel. You will be at the forefront of planning and developing an authentic Indian menu that captivates with its regional variations and resonates with diverse palates. Your expertise in various Indian cooking techniques, spice combinations and flavour profiles will be instrumental in ensuring the execution of dishes that reflect the highest standards of quality and authenticity. Your responsibilities extend to maintaining stringent quality control, conducting regular checks on ingredients and upholding the principles of Indian aesthetics in food presentation. With an eye for detail, you will also contribute to cost control measures, efficient inventory management and adherence to health and safety regulations. Engaging with our esteemed guests, including VIP patrons, to gather feedback and address inquiries, collaborating with other departments and continuously staying abreast of Indian culinary trends will be integral to delivering a seamless and exceptional dining experience.
