Quality Assurance Lead

Key Responsibilities:
- You are required to collaborate with technical team and the stakeholders, report directly to the Head of Delivery
- Expected Deliverables from an Ideal Quality Assurance Lead
We expect you to work in an agile framework with a team
- Lead and Manage QA Team: Supervise a team of QA engineers and testers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Develop Test Strategies: Collaborate with project stakeholders to develop comprehensive test strategies and plans that align with project requirements and objectives.
- Manual Testing: Design, develop, and execute manual test cases to ensure the functionality, usability, and performance of software applications.
- Automation Testing: Lead the automation effort by identifying opportunities for test automation, developing automated test scripts, and implementing automation frameworks using industry-standard tools such as Selenium, Appium, etc.
- Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Implement and maintain automated testing within CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid and reliable software releases.
- Defect Management: Track, prioritize, and manage defects throughout the software development lifecycle, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Quality Metrics and Reporting: Establish key quality metrics and provide regular reports to stakeholders on the status of testing activities, including test coverage, defect trends, and release readiness.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve QA processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across projects.
- Collaboration and Communication: Foster strong collaboration and communication with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business stakeholders, to ensure alignment on quality goals and requirements.
What you should have - Competencies
- Minimum 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on both manual and automation testing utilizing Cypress and Selenium
- Proven experience leading and managing QA teams in Agile/Scrum environments
- Experience with continuous integration and delivery tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps
- Should be able to Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for both functional & non-functional testing including performance, reliability, scalability, and security.
- Experience in SQL, experience in API Testing and DB level testing
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines
- Proficiency in utilizing JIRA and XRay for testing purposes is preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong leadership abilities, with a passion for mentoring and developing team members
What qualifications & experiences you should have
- Bachelor's degree in computer science (or related field)
- Minimum 2+ years of relevant work experience in Lead Quality assurance capacity
